L A Care has a large team of highly adept, well trained, passionate professionals who share the same beliefs and values and are entirely invested with making a real change to the health and social care sector.

 

Our dedicated team have robust training and complete an in depth induction process. These are initial requirements plus ongoing mandatory and optional training. We strive to create a positive working environment so that our team continue to deliver the best home care possible.

Leah Atherton

Director    Registered Manager

Leah has over a decade of experience within the care industry at all levels. She worked her way up from a newbie Carer to Senior Management and is now a Director and Registered Manager completing all relevant qualifications. Leah has also worked as a business consultant and NVQ assessor along the way which she believes has put her in good stead to lead L A Care to great success. She is beyond passionate for ensuring that her clients have the most deserving 5* person-centred, integrated care and that her staff work in an environment where they feel appreciated, valued, listened to and respected. Leah leads a very fulfilling life as a working Mum which she thoroughly enjoys. A coffee connoisseur who loves long walks in the sunshine.

Alice Alder

Director    Care Director

Alice started her career 10 years ago in domiciliary care and then went on to be part of a team who opened a new care home. She also has experience working with adults who have disabilities before returning to home care and now co-owning L A Care. Alice started working for Sarah’s Carers in 2015 as a Care Practitioner and worked her way up to a Care Manager prior to purchasing the Oxfordshire branch. Quality is at the heart of everything she does. Alice would describe herself as a perfectionist. She enjoys going for long walks with her dog, bike rides along the river, camping and spending time with her family and friends. One of her best experiences was travelling New Zealand for 6 months! Her career gives her joy in life. She loves nothing more than to provide a quality service not only for her clients but for the carers too.

Bev Matthews

Care Coordinator

Bev is a very much a people person which is why she is a perfect fit as a Care Coordinator. She is very passionate about care and loves nothing more than getting to know her clients and families alike. Bev can often be found singing and dancing with her clients, promoting laughter and a bit of light exercise! Her background is varied, working as a rehabilitation assistant in a community hospital for 7 years to a support officer for 8 years. She has a wealth of knowledge that puts her in a great place to provide the most accurate information to her clients and their families regarding the support available from different avenues. One thing on Bev's bucket list... she'd love to go cage diving with great white sharks!
